OVERCOME FEAR, UNCERTAINTY, AND DOUBT IN QUARANTINE
Are you frustrated? Scared? Feeling uncertain?
YEP!
Know, you’re not alone, everyone is feeling it! If there’s one thing that shakes the very core of a human being it’s UNCERTAINTY!
Uncertainty challenges our subconscious mind which is designed to crave certainty. Even the bad kind. Like unhealthy relationships, work that suffocates and even health challenges. Most of our brain is designed to desire any kind of certainty. You may be feeling a little crazy right now. That’s so normal!
FOLLOW THESE THREE STEPS TO GET UNSTUCK
- Do not judge yourself or others
- Create a routine
- Focus on what you can control
1. DO NOT JUDGE YOURSELF OR OTHERS
The first step is do NOT judge yourself for this.
We have to get this radical judgment out of our system to move into a place of improving where we are at mentally.
Talking to someone who can hold the space for what you’re feeling is important in this process.
Avoid connecting with people who create anxiety, stress or focus on what they can’t change. We are not in judgment of these people, but we need to take care of ourselves. Without this, we can’t take care of the people who need us.
If this person lives with you, then take turns listening to them and not speaking. A completely misunderstood exercise that few people actually do is journaling.
Sometimes people hear journaling and think, ” What could that do?”
Journaling takes what’s in your head out of your mind and through your body out onto paper. If you or someone you’re with needs to get out what they’re feeling, do it! And do it on paper!
You want it out of your body rather than stuck in your body!
In situations of high stress the easy thing to do is to judge someone for what they’re doing. What we actually do is make them the targets of our emotional turmoil, instead of addressing our own turmoil!
2. CREATE A ROUTINE TO SUPPORT CERTAINTY
Our subconscious mind keeps us stuck with old head trash. To avoid this and get moving we have to focus on new routines and habits. Over and over again I see HEALTH is on so many people’s minds.
Do you have a routine for health?
- A eating program that supports your immune system?
- An exercise program that supports your body?
- A healthy support system that listens to you and helps you feel heard ?
- A self care practice to appreciate and love yourself?
Really get these things executed with excellence.
A healthy brain needs a healthy environment.
3. FOCUS ON WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL
We haven’t been here before. No one knows what’s going to happen. There is so much information and misinformation out there. Go on a news diet. Be aware but don’t overeat on the news and media. News is designed to grab attention, it wants yours now and if you let it – it will consume you in your consumption of it.
- What do you know?
- What’s in front of you?
Deal with that instead of projecting your mind into a radical future of things that may or may not happen. If you’re at home and want to exercise but a body part is bothering you, are you seeking a solution for that?
If you want to have a more peaceful mind but you’re on Facebook scrolling through news….is time to do something different? Different results require different actions.
A healthy mind and a healthy body go hand in hand. If there’s one thing we may become present to, it’s how unhealthy our minds can be, when we are asked to stay inside. All the things we add to that, what we make that mean and all the actions we DON’T take to make ourselves happier.
What I’ve seen in my coaching work with clients is that the problem and pattern of how we behave has always existed. The situation only exposes what was there underneath it.
Maybe it’s time to change the way you think, what you act on and develop a routine that serves you.
If you feel that, I would love to connect with you about your journey and help you out as a personal coach in your transformation that you ever dreamed of. Fill out the box at the bottom of this page and we’ll be in touch.
