CONDITION WE HELP WITH

A weak or dysfunctional pelvic floor can show up in unexpected ways. If you’re experiencing any of these, pelvic floor training may be the missing piece:

● Lower back pain
● Hip discomfort & tightness
● Core instability
● Bladder leakage & urgency
● Postpartum recovery challenges
● Knee & foot pain
● Swelling in the lower pelvic area
● Pain during sexual intercourse (Vaginismus)
● Painful urination (Dysuria)
● Pain during bowel movements

DO YOU NEED PELVIC FLOOR TRANING?

Not sure if this is for you? If any of these sound familiar, it might be time to strengthen your pelvic floor:

❖ “Why does my lower back always ache?”
❖ “I feel like my core is weak, no matter how much I train.”
❖ “I sometimes leak when I sneeze, run, or lift.”
❖ “My hips always feel tight and uncomfortable.”
❖ “After pregnancy, my body just doesn’t feel the same.”
❖ “Sex is sometimes painful and uncomfortable.”
❖ “I experience pain and/or burning when urinating.”

If you’re nodding along, Beometry’s pelvic floor training can help.

HOW A PELVIC FLOOR TRAINER CAN HELP YOU

Pelvic floor training is about building real strength, balance, and control. At Beometry, we take awhole-body approach to pelvic health with:

● Targeted exercises to improve muscle coordination and endurance
● Biofeedback tools to enhance awareness and activation
● Breathwork & core integration to support function & stability
● Mobility & stability training to ensure balanced movement patterns.

With the right approach, you’ll feel stronger, more stable, and in control of your movement.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM BEOMETRY'S PELVIC FLOOR TRANING

Our training isn’t one-size-fits-all. We personalize your program based on your body’s needs. Here’s how it works:

1.ASSESSMENT & MOVEMENT SCREENING

We start with an in-depth look at your standing posture, movement, and muscle activation to find the root cause of any dysfunction.

We then look at your joint range of motion without pressure to understand what strategies your body is using to move against gravity.

Existing tensions and limitations will express themself in the lack of ability to move as well as ability to manage pressure in your pelvis.

In order for the pelvis to functionally optimally it has to change shape ( expand) and then hold shape against pressure to give you tension to move against.

Posture is dictated by pressure strategies, which is a primary reason incontinence occurs.

When the pressure above is greater than the pressure below the pelvic floor yields and leakage occurs.

Dealing with pelvic floor issues requires not only an understanding of pelvic dynamics in the front and back of the structure but an understanding of pressure moving down.

The axial skeleton bias will influence pressure dynamics. A more narrow rib cage shape will put more pressure down into a pelvic floor.

To handle the pressure the pelvic floor must be able to dynamically adjust and manage the pressure.

Common examples of painful issues we find in screening are pelvis’s that don’t move to control incontinence, absorb force when running, jumping, or inability to hold position going down stairs, squatting etc.

This can result in knee, and ankle pain.

The assessment may also include look at strains in tissues such as myofascial chains, muscle chains, blood supply in, lymphatic flow out, nerve root and other integrated systems.

2.CUSTOM TRANING PLAN

Based on your needs, we build a step-by-step plan to help you strengthen, stabilize, and move pain-free.

A program for someone who holds their children and experiences bladder leakage (upper pressure going down), would be different than a person who does jumping jacks and has leakage ( pressure from the ground up not absorbing).

Plans may also include some therapeutic interventions for myofascial treatments if needed.

3.FUNCTIONAL TRANING

Though full- body functional training is the eventual goal, not addressing specific issues and re-integrating can create a barrier.

A propper program starts with shape change strategies ( is there space in the body to
dynamically adjust to pressure and different stressors) and then can the body move into those positions using an appropriate strategy.

Once we have that captured, moving to a standing weight bearing representation would be the next step.

We rotate different representations of activities and demands that the trainee requires for their lifestyle and chosen activities then becomes incorporated in the training program for their daily activities and needs.

4.PROGRESS TRANING & ADJUSTMENTS

Your program evolves as you improve to ensure long-term results. Establishing an understanding of “Key Performance Indicators” such as a right side hip rotation
or a left spine turn will help you understand what movements your body needs to manage the daily activities the body is working through.

When compensation occurs it doesn’t only happen in a hip or a knee.
It occurs through the whole body as a chain until the body loses movement options and complains about it ( usually with pain).

When we track performance indicators we progress and update them based on an
understanding of the compensation stage the body is in.

Strong or weak is not enough of a performance indicator as many strong people experience large amounts of pain.

Using a progressive model and adjusting the parameters of performance are necessary for
pelvic floor range of motion and the demands of daily activities the body is handling.
